Link Between Marathon Runners and Colon Cancer

When you think about marathon runners who are very thin, in tip top shape, why would some be getting colon cancer?
Inactivity, obesity and eating a processed diet, we think of contributing to colon cancer.
Doctors note that there wasn't a double-blind study, so they cannot jump to conclusions. Maybe some runners had bloody stools, diarrhea, and stomach cramps.
Also, marathon runners have constant inflammation and cell breakdown and then constant repair. And when they run, blood flow doesn't go to the intestines, but to the muscles they are using.
